Milngavie Town Centre declines the opportunity to become a BID.
Following the recent ballot the businesses within Milngavie Town Centre have voted against the idea of a BID. Although a majority of the businesses voted in favour the rules of a BID ballot require a majority by 'ratable value' to also say yes and the BID did not achieve this second requirement. Ian Lavrie, the BID chairman said 'I am disappointed that the BID failed the ballot, especially when a majority of the businesses that voted were in favour of the idea. We are now looking at the options moving forward and will let everyone know the outcome of these discussions in due course.

Businesses in Clarkston have voted YES to the Clarkston BID project. This is signfiicant to Milngavie as the Clarkston BID is of a similar size and make-up to the BID we will propose to deliver in Milngavie. Find out more at the official Clarkston BID website.
